Vertex Law’s specialist public sector lawyer, Lee May, has completed a six month secondment at Shepway District Council.  Working as part of the council’s in-house legal team one day a week providing temporary cover while the council recruited a new head of legal services, Lee advised on the full range of legal issues faced by the council including matters as diverse as property and planning law and member conduct.

Shepway District Council has been a long-standing client of Vertex Law. Wendy Head, Corporate Director (Organisational Performance) said “We called on Vertex Law when we needed to fill a temporary, but crucial, position at Shepway Council. It was good to have Lee as a member of our legal team.”

Richard Blackman, Chief Executive of Vertex Law, said that he sees the appointment as “. .... further evidence of Vertex’s growing reputation as the legal provider of choice for local authorities in Kent.”
