Vertex Law sponsors start-up business category in Kent Excellence in Business Awards
Vertex Law is delighted to be sponsoring and judging the Start Up Business of the Year category as part of the Kent Excellence in Business Awards (“KEiBA”).
KEiBA has been launched jointly in association with Kent County Council and The Kent Messenger Group. There are 11 categories of award covering different aspects such as Start up Business of the Year, Employer of the Year, Business Commitment to Community, Customer Service and Commitment Award to name but a few. The awards are open to all Kent based companies large or small.
The Start Up Business of the Year category is open to any business that has been trading for more than one year but not more than three years as at January 2009. Each candidate will be asked what challenges they faced in setting up their business and how these challenges were overcome. They will need to demonstrate their success, plans for growth, commitment to staff, local community, environment and customers.
Stuart Butler-Gallie of Vertex Law, who will be judging the category, said “as a business that has just celebrated its 4th anniversary and with the experience of the excitement and fear of setting up a business from scratch very much fresh in our minds, Vertex Law feels very well placed to be judging the Start Up Business of the Year category in the KEiBA Awards”
“We will have enormous empathy and understanding for what entrants are going through and I personally look forward to learning of their experiences compared with our own, particularly at a time when there is much talk of needing to support small businesses in the region.”
