Legal eagles at Vertex Law left the laws of the land behind for a day sailing on the Solent.

Head of corporate, James Beatton, Nick Austen, Irfan Baluch and Pete Kenyon and a host of invited clients clamboured aboard the good ship Lady Emma at Southampton before setting sail for Cowes, on the Isle of Wight.

Corporate Lawyer James Beatton said: “It was a great day. Everyone mucked in together, with the ship’s crew making sure everyone got involved.

“I’d like to thank our clients for making this year’s voyage to Cowes one of our best yet and also apologise for my unorthodox navigational skills, which left us rather closer to a passenger ferry than any of us wanted!”
